To prepare all students for learning and living in a changing world.
The West Central School District has been approved to offer a free breakfast and lunch to every K – 12 student each school day. This program is now available through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
Important information regarding this program that families need to consider:
Seconds and ala carte items are not included. Students must have funds in their meal accounts to purchase these items.
Students can still bring their own meals. Any student who brings their own meal and would like a milk, must purchase milk for $0.40, as free milk is only included with a school meal.
The K-2 SNACKS program is not covered under this benefit and students will continue to be charged $0.50 per snack.
Even with this new benefit, it is still vital for families to fill out the Free and Reduced Meal Application. When the benefits expire on December 31, or when funds are depleted, it is important to have your Free and Reduced Meal Application processed so there is no delay to your child’s meal status.
NOTE: This program is not intended to last through the end of this school year; therefore, the school will not refund current account balances.
We are grateful for this benefit to help families in our community.
