On Saturday, the Oral Interp team competed at the Speaking Lynx Invitational in Brandon. With 350 entrants in attendance, the team came away with a 3rd place finish in the Sweepstakes Category!

Readers Theater of Stone Loof, Mason Kennedy, Taylor Cain, Andie Ingalls, BreAnn Heider and Sophia Prostrollo took 2nd.

What is Destination Imagination (DI)?
Academic program where student teams solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. It is aimed to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. DI offers seven standards-based challenges in STEAM, Improv, Service Learning, and Early Learning.

It's Fire Prevention Week! This morning the Hartford Fire Department visited Hartford Elementary. The firefighters brought a smoke house, fire trucks, gear and other tools to teach students about fire safety. Thank you, Hartford Fire Department!

Students have been working hard on prepositions/prepositional phrases and today, to review for our quiz, students are playing prepositional "Uno"....like regular Uno but better 😄 (before they can play a card they have to identify the prepositional phrase in the sentence).

Fire Prevention Week is October 6-12. Students at Humboldt Elementary welcomed volunteers from the Humboldt Fire Department to school yesterday. They educated us on fire safety strategies and reminded us to check our fire alarms at home. Thank you, Humboldt Fire Department!

Siblings Ava, Aiden, and Adley grew and sold pumpkins to help the District's Project 22 fund. The Project 22 fund helps fund school lunches for students. We are extremely appreciative of their thoughtfulness! Thank you.
