Mausten has been invited to compete in the Rifle Junior Olympics (both precision air rifle and .22 smallbore), which will be held April 8–13 in Anniston, Alabama.
Elle has received an invitation to compete in the Pistol Junior Olympic competition, which will take place April 8–13 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
These invitations recognize the dedication, discipline, and countless hours of practice the athletes have invested in their sport. Competing at this level places them among some of the top junior shooting athletes in the country.
The District is incredibly proud of both of them. While this is not a school sponsored activity, we want to recognize the accomplishments of both Elle and Mausten, we wish you good luck! We are honored that they will represent the West Central School District on the national stage.

An awards presentation will happen immediately following the conclusion of the contest. Individual names of the winning team will be called first, and then they will receive their medal. Then, the winning head coach will be announced, and the plaque will be given to them.
No parents, fans, or students on the floor following the contest.

This weekend, Educators Rising students brought their talents to the state competition at Black Hills State University. Laney Jass and Alyce Petersen took 2nd place and received a Bronze in Varsity Ethical Dilemma. Sofia Roth took 1st place and received a Silver in JV EdRising Moment and qualified for Nationals. Mattisyn Gates and Elliot Lutter took 1st place and received Silver in Varsity Ethical Dilemma qualifying for Nationals. Kinslee Hruby and Sarah Johnson received a Gold in Junior Varsity Interactive Bulletin Board-Elementary qualifying for Nationals. Taylor Cain took 2nd place and received Silver in Varsity Lesson Planning-Arts qualifying for Nationals. Ada Strunk took 2nd place and received Gold in Varsity Job Interview qualifying for Nationals. Elle Schaefer received Gold in Varsity Interactive Bulletin Board-Elementary qualifying for Nationals. AnaVictoria Underwood and Jada Skrovig received Gold in Varsity Interactive Bulletin Board-Elementary qualifying for Nationals. The spring season is just around the corner for MS/HS activities at West Central. If you haven't already registered your child on Bound, please do so at your earliest convenience. If your child has previously participated in an activity, you should only need to register them in the spring activity. If this is their first activity of the year, you will need to go through the whole registration process. If they are playing a sport, please make sure they have a current physical form (both pages) uploaded on the Bound website. I have attached the registration directions, if needed.
